Whilst there have probably been more stressful moves than our’s, the selling of our house was far more complicated than we would have hoped. Throughout the process the team at Karen Ritchie were excellent. They were proactive in trying to get the fastest and best sale for us and once the process of the sale started they worked really hard to negotiate between ourselves as the sellers and our buyer. Third time lucky! Karen Ritchie was the right agent at the right time. They did what they said they would, including accompanied viewing which was promised but not fulfilled by other agents I’d tried. The first people to view bought the house and I am very grateful to Carlie and the rest of the team for helping me through this successful sale.

I have found all the Karen Ritchie staff very professional and friendly in my dealings which gave me the confidence that the potential buyers for my property would be treated in the same way.

I cannot thank Carlie and the team enough for the professional and personal way in which they dealt with the sale of my house. Like many of the other reviewers of Karen Ritchie Estates, I too previously had my house up for sale with a large town centre company. This is the first house I’ve sold so I thought their lack of communication was normal, however after constantly chasing after them and losing a buyer just before Christmas I took it off the market. In January I decided to try again with Karen Ritchie after reading their excellent reviews. I never looked back! From the word go I was so impressed. I live and work outside of Bolton and they even offered to come and meet me nearer to my home so I could complete the necessary paperwork. Any seller would be hard-pressed to find a better estate agency than Karen Ritchie. When we first approached them, we were feeling despondent and depressed, having had our house on the market for a year, with some interest, but no real offers. Karen personally inspected our house and, as well as making suggestions as to how to make our house more desirable (a service not offered by our previous estate agent or many others out there), she gave us an honest estimation of the price it would sell for. We also discovered that the price we had our house advertised for over the past year couldn't have been further away from what potential buyers were willing to pay, so they saved us a lot of waiting around. The viewings began instantly, and in total I think there were 20+ in a very short space of time. The service that you pay for is absolutely outstanding. As other sellers have mentioned, you really do feel as if you're the only seller on their books, as they provided constant updates on the interest our house was attracting, and detailed feedback from viewers (which I know from experience can be very difficult to get!). The escorted viewings are also a major benefit. With our previous estate agent, we felt slightly uncomfortable when we had to greet viewers and show them round, and the viewers felt awkward themselves, so did not get a good enough look at the house. With Karen Ritchie, an estate agent gives viewers the tour, and they can ask questions and inspect everything without feeling survielled by the owners. The team are also incredibly professional and friendly, and always remain positive, which is much appreciated, and also essential when doubt creeps in as to whether your house will sell. They also ensured that our selling process was completed as swiftly as possible, making regular phone calls to our buyer, their solicitor and our solicitor. Their proactive approach is probably one of the main reasons they are the best estate agency out there. If we could offer just one tip to anyone selling their house, it would be to use this estate agency.

We’ve wanted to sell for a few years now but we were always put off with the thought of all the stress and the messing about that is involved with it all but after to speaking to Karen and her team I was assured that this would not be the case with them.She didn’t let us down and the whole process from start to finish has been relatively stress free. Our experience with Karen Ritchie Estates has been a positive one from start to finish. All members of the staff have provided a very personal service keeping us regularly informed of progress. After the death of our lovely Dad we had the heartbreaking task of selling his home to pay for Mum’s care home. Not having sold a house before, we found Karen Ritchie and her friendly staff very easy to deal with. We weren’t disappointed and found them very efficient, they kept us informed i.e. when viewings were taking place and gave us feedback straight away of which there was several. I was looking through the Property Guide in the Bolton News when I saw a page which stood out - the photos of properties were large and eye-catching and the text was clear. Karen's bubbly, friendly personality and enthusiasm for her new business venture was immediately evident when she came to value my home back in April. Her up front approach and guarantee that she would sell my property in this difficult climate made me decide to use Karen Ritchie Estates.
From the moment my property was on the market, her assistant Laura, updated me regularly with any interested parties, rang and e-mailed to confirm any viewings and also contacted me as soon as she had any feedback. In July of this year we sadly lost our Mum, which left us, to sell her beloved bungalow.
We took the usual route to find an estate agent. We choose three, located in the town centre for more impact (big Mistake) two were able to meet within the week, the third was a two week wait which was not acceptable to us. The two dually arrived, both had a quick look round the property then sat down to chat & chat some more, to cut a long story short, both left their cards for us ring if required. We were both a little unsure of which to choose if any, then Denise found Karen’s advert, and we were off and running, round she came, armed with camera, tape measure & loads of personality.

Sadly, my sister and I found ourselves having to deal with our late mother’s estate. We used a ‘recommended’ estate agent and trusted them to deal with all aspects of selling her home. 9 months later, having no viewings, no feedback, no emails/phone calls we decided to switch to Karen Ritchie Estates. Having had the property let out for 5 years following full renovation, 2 tenants later the property needed serious re decoration and dressing for presentation to offer for Sale.
Our Daughter who is responsible for dressing the displays in our bathroom and Kitchen retail showroom took on the task.
The house was decorated throughout, blinds, pictures and ornaments chosen to compliment her furniture. On completion she moved in the house until the house was sold.
We arranged for Estate Agents to view the property for the sale.
Karen Richie conducted the consultation herself, but not only wandered around the property nodding her head saying how nice it looked and then giving an indication of the price, she took photos, measurements and discussed the strengths of each room in a difficult market.
We have over the years sold a few properties with agents asking us to conduct the viewings, if staff were not available. Karen insisted she conduct viewings as the people feel more open to express their concerns when considering purchasing.

What can I say about Karen Ritchie estates, other than amazing. We had our house up for sale for four months with another agent, and did not have one single viewing, we did not even receive a welcome phone call from a large well-known agency (maybe too large to care for their clients!).
We joined Karen Ritchie Estates, we immediately received what felt like one-to-one service. We had a viewing in our first week!! And by our third viewing we had received an offer of sale. We were constantly kept up-to-date with interest and offers on our property, Karen has even suggested solicitors and advice on the type of property we are looking at buying.

It is with great pleasure that I can thoroughly recommend Karen Richie Estates.
We have been attempting to sell our house for over a year, with two of the best well know estate agents in the Bolton area. Both of these attempts failed to produce a sale.
We then switched our estate agent for the third time to Karen. Karen is a warm and friendly person who explains everything in detail, giving advice and honest opinions on the property, the market and valuations. Within a week of changing estate agents we obtained marketing material and more importantly viewings. The viewers were all in a position to purchase, checked and validated by Karen herself. Karen conducted all the viewings on the property in person, sometimes spending over an hour discussing with the potential purchasers the property and its values.
